Rellik Posted January 10, 2004 Disney has its own police force The visual image this created in my head made me laugh really hard. I see Goofy with a Glock yelling "Freeze motherfucker! Hee hyuck hyuck." 0 Share this post Link to post
stphrz Posted January 10, 2004 Quast said:anyway, if you stop breaking the law, you have nothing to worry about. Simple. That kind of attitude is the most dangerous attitude of all. What you are actually saying is "anyway, as long as nobody thinks you are breaking the law, you have nothing to worry about." 99.99% of the atrocities and human rights violations since the dawn of history have been caused precisely by that kind of logic. 0 Share this post Link to post
Quast Posted January 11, 2004 That is NOT what I actually said. I meant what I said. Please don't put words in my mouth. 0 Share this post Link to post
SteelPH Posted January 12, 2004 I suppose suing wasn't good enough? The RIAA has absolutely ZERO law enforcement authority granted to it. They do not have the power to arrest or enact searches and siezures. This is just another case of big government trampling on the civil rights of citizens. The fourth amendment is completely meaningless anymore. The founders of the US Constitution must be rolling in their graves about now. This is the very sort of bullying they wanted to protect against. 0 Share this post Link to post

It's 'true meaning' isn't deeper than you think. Don't break the law. No warez police coming to rough you up. Is that reworded good enough? 0 Share this post Link to post

Awesome thinking. 0 Share this post Link to post
Quast Posted January 13, 2004 No I don't. Are you sure they are illegal? Or are they simply rent-a-cops with no real legal power other than giving the illusion of being a force? That is, I know of some security based companies have guys that dress, act, drive squads, carry guns and look the part of a police officer...but they can't arrest you, use their weapons or flip their cherries on....and this, i believe is considered legal. 0 Share this post Link to post
Grazza Posted January 13, 2004 Dark Fox: this is verging on trolling. Quast's meaning was perfectly clear. If you don't like what he said, fine, but stop insulting him please. 0 Share this post Link to post
