Old dehacked

Some old wads with dehacked patches can't be played with ports since they use an old dehacked version (ususally 2.3). Right now I'm interested in Obituary and The Trooper's Playground (both featured on the 10 year top 100 list). Does anyone know of conversions to the 3.0 format for these, or other classics? And if not, how hard would it be to convert the patches? I've never done any dehacked work myself, but there doesn't seem to be too many differences between 2.3 and 3.0. Is there a list of the exact differences one could use for conversion?

1) Open up the .deh in notepad.

2) See at the top where it says "Patch File for DeHackEd v2.3"? Change the 2.3 to 3.0.

3) Save the file.

4) You're done! :)

Note that while this may cause problems with more extensive .deh files, the changes the ObTiC and TTP .deh's make are relatively minor so they should be fine. No guarantees though.

Also, I think you should be able to open the old patch in DEHACKED and then save under a new name to update the format. That works for the older, non-text patches IIRC.
