Job Posted February 3, 2004 I have a fairly complete version of the map. Everything that remains is expansion, detailing and gameplay balance tweaking. If anyone wishes to test this map, please let me know. Also, specify if you wish to have the music that is included with it or not (per request is due to the larger size of the file). If you're interested, email me at philmj19@uwgb.edu 0 Share this post Link to post
Grimm Posted February 4, 2004 Shouldn't you wait til you're done to start beta-testing? I think what you're doing now is more like alpha-testing. ;) 0 Share this post Link to post

ellmo Posted February 7, 2004 Okay, I finished testing your map. All I can say is good job, Job! Climate: 5 Architecture/detail: 5 Difficulty: 5 Gameplay: 5 New Sounds: 4 Music: 5 My only complain is about file's size. Too bad u're using mp3 format for the music. Although the music is very good (thumbs up for Ubik), but it's 60% of the file I think. I know that the map is not yet finished, but you should reconsider detailing those already done parts of the map, so details won't get overdosed. But still extremly good piece of mapping. 0 Share this post Link to post
Job Posted February 10, 2004 Ellmo, thanks for the kind words. I still need testers because I'm not quite done yet. However, beyond a doubt, God willing, I'll release the map this week for /newstuff. :) 0 Share this post Link to post
ellmo Posted February 13, 2004 I've played the recent version of Alpha Outpost. There are a few things definately worth mentioning: 1.The large bridge with fancy "metal/liteblu" columns looks decent. Way better than the one before. 2.I see you've cleared all the mistakes I've shown in my email. But I've found some new :P 3.So there's an Archie now, huh? Good try, but he's an easy target in that narrow hall. 4.Map's more challenging that it was before. I like it. 5.But it's still not finished, boo-hoo! 0 Share this post Link to post
