And i also thought the revenant's transparent stuff was his muscle, as in muscle so the skeleton can actually move (prehaps its a former marine but you can see it's skeleton).

I dont know why people keep pondering reasons as to why the demons (not aliens ;-), yes I have been reading these forums for quite a while now hehe) are the way they are.
There from hell, the realm of un-conventional thought, the realm of chaos beyond the borders of our own reality, boy, if a giant killer tomato with a gaping big mouth came at me I wouldnt be suprised.

Also I can see the Pc version release date being April, ok, microsoft "offered" id allot of money to make Doom3 xbox exclusive, or whatever it said, but it doesnt say anything about if id accepted their offer.

Pcgamer stated that Nvidia want to release the new family of graffix cards around the same time as Doom3, their moneys on March/April, where my money and the smart money will be. With the Xbox surfacing sometime near the summer.

The games completed, the optimising stages should be nearing completion, It was stated that the game was completed towards the end of last yr, november time.

Splash Damadge is starting a new project using the Doom3 engine, so that must be that the Doom3 multiplayer levels must be completed or near completion.

The only drawback mite be is if id come accross some major bug in the optimisation process, but I feel thats the only delay we will get.
Cant wait. :)

Because it's fun to ponder how they ended up looking that way - it's called "imaginative creativity".

Uh, there is no official release date (other than "When it's done") - April being the month of release is only guesswork. Just because Nvidea gambles on April as being the release date, there is no certainty that it is in fact April that will be the release month. In fact, recent speculation suggested a much later release date.

The only reliable source as to Doom 3's release date is Id themselves - even Activision, I'm convinced, is a doubtful source, because they'd want you to believe it's right on your doorstep to keep you interested in the game.

Dsm, I never said for definate that anything I said was true.
I was just putting together bits of info I had read.
People have difference views and people beleive different things.
PCgamer said there money was on March/April being the release of the NVIDIA cards, not Doom3.

....and yeah im all for speculating on where the demons come from/why they look they do etc, but people do gets so over emotional over the whole thing, talking and arguing are 2 different things and I have seen so may people argue over their points of view.

I just read the lastest 2 pcgamer issues last night and they said that Doom 3 is set for May 2004. But the truth we all know is, only time will tell
