Recommended Posts

Check it out here.

From the site:
GIN AND TONIC will recreate Graham's early days studying medicine at Cambridge University; his years as a member of the Python team; his struggles with alcohol; his ground-breaking stance on homosexuality; and his outrageous exploits.

I could play the creepy American guy. I can make cartoons, grunt, stumble my way through a British accent and everything.

No.

Anyway, this doesn't look like a true Python movie. But I'd still like to see it.

It's not a monty python movie. It's more or less a biographical film of Graham Chapman's life, since he's the only one at the moment that's no longer living. Definitely worth watching, but don't expect another Holy Grail.

Hehe, you didn't catch the Monty Python reference. This sketch is where I took the line from...

Considering zarkyb lives in the Britain area, I think he's quite familiar with them. That is however only a guess.

Yes, I know he's British (Scottish, right?). I just figured if he'd caught it, he would have said something along the lines of "I told you once".

Nevermind, this is getting far too silly.

an acting job like that would be too awesome.

Damn racialists!

And yeah I know which sketch it was, I just don't know it well. Which is why I said no. To argue with you. Yes.

That's Terry Gilliam, who is also the best director ever (though oddly enough he didn't help direct the one Monty Python movie which is my favorite).

Monty Python isn't really representative.

Blackadder and Fawlty Towers own, and so does Mr. Bean. Saving Grace was a pretty damn funny movie.

Oh, no. I'm sorry, this is for abuse.

False. Add Monty Python to the list.

Oh, and you never mentioned Douglas Adams. Shame on you.

I apologize for the omission of Douglas Adams.

I do not apologize for the omission of Monty Python.

Heh, you gotta include some even older classics? What about Spike Milligan? Peter Sellers? Add Harry Secombe to Spike and Peter and you've got the classic Goon Show? What about the The Two Ronnies? Sid James and his Carry On series of movies? Frankie Howerd and numerous other 70's comedians?

Fawlty Towers, Rowan Atkinson in Black Adder/Bean, Ben Elton the Young Ones, and Grant Naylor for Red Dwarf? In books you've got Terry Pratchett and the Late great Douglas Adams.

How can you not like monty python? That's just not done. Monty Python rocks. I don't like the idea of a "New" Monty Python though, I'm quite happy to watch the classic originals on tape.

Dear Sirs,

I am appalled by the recent turn of events in this discussion forum of distinguished inheritance. It seems to me that far too many silly posts have made their way through our channels of communication and therefore I urge you all, in the strongest possible terms, not to leave this room. No, what I mean is.. I'm afraid I must not ask anyone to leave the room. No, I must ask nobody ... no, I must ask everybody to... I must not ask anyone to leave the room.

No one must be asked by me to leave the room. No, no one must ask the room to leave. I ... I ... ask the room shall by someone be left. Not. Ask nobody the room somebody leave shall I. Shall I leave the room? Everyone must leave the room... as it is... with them in it.

Yours, etc.,

Walrus P. Boottitty (Mrs.)
