Negatronica Posted February 20, 2004 I would love to play test it, but the computer I'm using isn't mine and I don't have internet for my computer at the moment. If you want to wait till the end of April, I'll have full access again, but thats a little TOO long from now... Key hunting is involved for The yellow and blue. The yellow is visible,you just gotta do stuff to get it.The blue is hidden and wont be seen till somethings lowered. And nick to your comment,Not all areas are cramped,you got space to roam around,just the Nukeage passage with the floor lowers going into the area of the Windowed yellow key may seem cramped,but its large enough to go around. ellmo Posted February 20, 2004 1. The crushers in those first screenshots should be more detailed. Remember Doom2 "map04: THE FOCUS"? I hope you know what I mean. 2. screen 0029.png looks interesting architectually, but very crappy as it comes ot textures. You must really avoid using texture mix-ups, like this ASHWALL turning out to BORWNGRN and then to BROWN with posion sign. You should use textures of similar colours and separate them with METAL or SUPPORTx strips of 24/16 units length, as it was done in original DooM. 3. screen 0033.png uses two different types of flats for sector of the same height. It looks like you made a mistake when changing sector's light, so you also have changed ceiling texture and then copied it for many times. Pay attention to craps like this. 4. Still to screen 0033.png you should also align those wall textures on the right of those small silver staircase. 5. 0035.png I hope this is a shot of a sector while lowering. If not, then you have a really bad misalignment. 6. 0036.png looks very good. Nice use of those METAL textures. 7. 0037.png you should change ceiling and flat textures (at those sectors with upper and lower METAL) so that they differ form others. For METAL sectors I always use CEIL5_2 8.And to all other guys. Just stop being so rude to SR! There's no fucking point in this, ang getting on someone because he's still learning how to make a good map pisses me out. ellmo Posted February 20, 2004 I can see a pair of doors, so: one can contain an armour with some additional ammo (in lesser quantities), the other should be opened, when player picks up the armour, revealing some bad uglies. Remeber E1M4? One of the rooms around that big circle in the middle of the level? And... remove those lights around the switch (in this 'pressed' sector), swap them with DOORSTOP or somethingl like that. 0 Share this post Link to post
