skadoomer Posted February 24, 2004 So what resolution(s) do you play on your favored sourceport? I personally am a 640 X 480 fan myself. 0 Share this post Link to post
chubberz Posted February 25, 2004 1024x768 on a 17 inch monitor (i want a 19" so badly) =/ 0 Share this post Link to post
Grazza Posted February 25, 2004 GLBoom: 1600x1200 (well, why not?). Prboom: 640x480 (since it's most stable then). Eternity: 640x400 (best it's got). Doom(2).exe: 320x200 (duh). That's on a 19 inch monitor. 0 Share this post Link to post
Chopkinsca Posted February 25, 2004 zdoom: 800 x 600 windowed. I sometimes talk to people online and play at the same time... It is also useful for testing levels. Rarely I will play full screen at 1024 X 768, but since I am used to the window sized screen, it seems huge. 0 Share this post Link to post

Amaster Posted February 25, 2004 1280x1024. My monitor wont go higher :/ 0 Share this post Link to post
Lüt Posted February 25, 2004 800x600 in ZDoom is the highest I can set the resolution without framerate decrease on this PC. I prefer smooth animation over high resolution, so I would use 1600x1024 if it weren't notably laggy. 640x400 in Eternity. 0 Share this post Link to post
sargebaldy Posted February 25, 2004 640x400 in Eternity 1280x800 or 640x400 in ZDoom I like my Doom in proper perspective. 0 Share this post Link to post

Arioch Posted February 25, 2004 My laptop can do 1280x800, but it's a widescreen resolution. 0 Share this post Link to post

Bloodshedder Posted February 25, 2004 And there's no guarantee that such a resolution will work with your monitor or video card. 0 Share this post Link to post

myk Posted February 25, 2004 Since when do we play resolutions? I though we were playing DOOM. By the way, I have resolved to buy a gift for an awesome woman I met at work. Can't think of any other resolutions I have made lately right now. 0 Share this post Link to post
sirjuddington Posted February 25, 2004 I tend to change around a lot, but mostly its at 1280x960 on whatever supports it (this is also my desktop resolution) 0 Share this post Link to post
Graf Zahl Posted February 25, 2004 Depending on the source port: ZDoom: 1024x768 PrBoom (GL): 1280x960 Legacy (Software): can't use - it's creepingly slow on my system Legacy (GL): 1024x768 (for Nimrod only) Doomsday : 1280x960 (for Doom64 only) So why does anybody still play at 320x200? And please don't tell me that Doom is meant to be played at that resolution. Even 'officially' 640x400 is possible (with Doom95.) 0 Share this post Link to post
exl Posted February 25, 2004 640x400 when the drivers and OS permit it; else 640x480 will do fine. 0 Share this post Link to post
