Job Posted March 3, 2004 My favorite is, without a doubt, the Doom64 TC. Good new maps, good and faithful conversion, no complaints. 0 Share this post Link to post
Grazza Posted March 3, 2004 Not many TCs have appealed to me all that much. My favourite is Hacx though. 0 Share this post Link to post
Amaster Posted March 3, 2004 Im not really a TC kind of guy. But I really enjoyed Batman Doom. I guess Massmouth 2 comes in second. 0 Share this post Link to post
Little Faith Posted March 3, 2004 Anything by LilWhiteMouse. She is the TC-maker above all TC-makers. 0 Share this post Link to post

Vegeta Posted March 3, 2004 DOOM 64 TC is by far the best IMO, very profesional. Batman DOOM, Aliens Tc, WolfenDOOM, are also really good. I like the graphics (not the levels and gameplay) of Hacx. QuakeDOOM also shows a lot of work in it's development, but for some reason I didn't played it too much, may be because I don't like so much Quake (1). 0 Share this post Link to post

Sporku Posted March 3, 2004 Doom64 TC. Hacx is pretty good, although I find it's maps to be quite boring 0 Share this post Link to post
Stealthy Ivan Posted March 3, 2004 DooM Xtreme Gold. Aliens TC. They both where a lot of fun for co-op, plus they both looked cool for the time. 0 Share this post Link to post

SSWolfenSie Posted March 5, 2004 WolfenDOOM, Doom 64, Hell Revealed and Memento Mori. 0 Share this post Link to post
Tormentor667 Posted March 5, 2004 WolfenDoom and Batman Doom without any doubt! Doom64 is boring, because it's still Doom :( 0 Share this post Link to post

Grazza Posted March 6, 2004 I don't believe he is saying it was easy. But it's unfair to compare TCs created from scratch with one that is a remake of a commercial product and uses resources extracted from that commercial product. 0 Share this post Link to post
Dron Posted March 7, 2004 HacX, Strain, Batman Doom, Real, QuakeDoom, Doom64, ZanZan, Aliens TC, etc. 0 Share this post Link to post

My point is that given enough time & patience, anyone can recreate levels. Creating good maps from scratch also requires plenty of time & patience, but a lot more imagination & skill as well... something which not everyone has. 0 Share this post Link to post

Uncle 80 Posted March 8, 2004 1. Osiris - The best TC I've ever played. The new graphics, enemies, weapons, sounds, music - it's all good. The gameplay is even better 2. Batman Doom - Very good, but annoying gameplay at times. 3. Mordeth E1 - Aestethic. 0 Share this post Link to post
Ghostpilot Posted March 9, 2004 Aliens TC is by FAR the best TC according to me. Nightmare: I can understand what you mean when you say that DooM 64 TC can't be compared with other TC's made from scratch. But that doesn't mean it was as easy to make as you seem to think. We did put a lot of hard work into it. It is a recreation, we can't deny that, but on the other hand we made sure to not make it 100% true to the original. I wonder why this topic never comes up when mentioning 007 DooM for instance? It's a recreation of a N64 game aswell. 0 Share this post Link to post
NiGHTMARE Posted March 9, 2004 Uh, I never once said the creation of the Doom 64 TC was easy. I said it's easier to recreate a level than create a good brand new one, and easier does not neccessarily = easy. As for Goldeneye Doom, as far as I know it was only very losely inspired by the Goldeneye N64 game (the same way Doom 64 was losely inspired by the PC Doom 1 & 2), not an almost exact recreation of it. 0 Share this post Link to post
