New screen and article

Yeah. A summer release does sound plausible! (How many times have we said that? :P)
People who have read magazines or seen scans (filthy magazine scan pirate!) will recognize the shot.

Finally something new to read and also very interesting. What voice was Phil LaMarr doing in Family guy/Futurama ?

"Story in a game is like story in a porn movie. It's expected to be there, but it's not that important."

Heh

"don't you leave me, motherf***er!!!" (It's an M-rated game, after all.)

So it's finally been rated ? I'm not suprised it got an M. At least the character will use common language instead of Max Payne 1 type of swears.

It's good to see that they're near the finishing line. A summer release could be very plausible.

Would it be possible that nvidia will use the launch of the NV40 on april 14 to show off the cards capability with DOOM3? I mean it is obvious they have some kind of business deal.

On topic: I like the cursing!

DON'T YOU LEAVE ME, MOT*ERFUCKER!

I submit the Doom 3 will be released in July. The planets suggest this: I am cancer, my astrological planet is the moon, and this being my 21st, there is a full moon! Therefore Doom comes out in July. What greater logic do we need? The planets are alligning so I can have it as a birthday present. It'll be kind of hard to play it in Las Vegas though : (

Oh yeah, and that article was pretty sweet. I like how the screenie shows the lost soul's fire moving as it does. I still think id needs to steal HL2's fire effect from valve.

Somewhat off-topic -

I think Phil LaMarr was also the voice of Vamp in Metal Gear Solid 2.

Heh, a summer release 2002 once seemed plausible. >_<

I have to agree with this.

I think it's a pretty cool screenshot. The only thing I don't like about it is that the Revenant's hands seem a tad big. I think once you see it all in motion even ugly stills will come to life beautifully.

The new revenant is not the most exciting monster. I liked it at first, now I'm just a little disappointed with it.

And the screenshot is kinda uninteresting to me. Now, if they'd release a screenshot of possessed shotgun/pistol soldiers, then I'd be all set :-)

The revenant is stupid and the room is probably the least imaginative so far.

It's a hallway.

I'm not objecting that, my concern isn't with the room in itself (although I've seen better looking hallways), but with the screenshot - why choose such a bad location for taking a screenshot?

You lot are easily dissappointed arnt you. ;D
I think it looks good, really shows off the revenant, one of the more annoying enemies imo. Hope its rockets still home in... i hated that!

I'm pretty sure they said those will be slow enough that if you're quick on the trigger finger you can shoot it down.

My guess is that the screenshot is intended to show off the detail of the model in a brighter environment than most of the screens we've seen.

Well I do not like the hallway. Because of all the useless metal thingies on the wall, that are only there because the artist did not want to do a clean metal plate. The revenant is OK, but not really scary..

One more screen on the article about DOOM the boardgame (For a nice cosy evening of family fun)

Looks like a shot from the trailer and an old screenshot pasted together.
