Does anyone know if the Doom 4-2 Alpha works on Win XP? If it does, please tell me how to get it to work.

Did you try with Windows 95 emulation? They don't have sound, which is often the issue with DOS games on XP, and run fine on Windows 98; so they might work.

Try to partition your hard drive, so you can choose what OS you want to boot from, then, install win 95 on the new partition to play your old games...
This worked for me. Or just get an old pc for your old shit.

It runs fine on XP. Only one that won't work is the Press Release.

How did you get it to work? Whenever I try to open it, the screen just stays black. I've already tried the compabilty options but it still doesn't work.

OR... you can choose the original Windows in the computer startup screen and than choose to dos mode.

EDIT: Dosbox is pretty good though.
