Installing WADS & On-Line Dooming

OK i've just installed ZDoom with Doom 2. And am totally new to this whole WAD thing, and anything to do with this game.

I need help playing a was i DLed. I can't find any help of how to play a downloaded mod.

And HOW can i play ON-LINE multiplayer with other Doomers?

Ok let's first make sure you have the newest version of zdoom. http://www.zdoom.org/files/lars/ 63.cab is the current newest version.

To run the wad you can drag and drop it onto zdoom. Congratulations.

Another way to run the wad is to go to start, run, and then type in

c:\doom\zdoom.exe -file C:\doom\yourwad.wad

and that will start up your wad.

does any one play JDOOM? That has multiplayer with it!

I'm assuming that everyone uses ZDoom am i right?
What about JDoom? It seems better!
ALL i want to know is what's the best to play on-line with, and DO people play?

Well, for online play, JDoom's netcode isn't that reliable.

The ports which seem to have the best online play are skulltag.com]Skulltag and zdaemon.org]ZDaemon

Have you tried doom connector? http://www.codeimp.com/connector_info.php

I tried it and its easy to use, but I have a crap connection. You can find people playing just about any port zdoom, zdaemon, legacy, jdoom, skulltag. And people online can help you sometimes. The website above should give you a lot of information.
