bartwart Posted March 29, 2004 It's being honored by reallybadfanfiction.com as, uh, really bad fan fiction. There is a poignant moment where "the doom guy" laments the hazards of toxic waste faced by future generations. Fortunately for him, and the story, he quickly snaps out of his malaise when he realizes that his chaingun is out of bullets. They've reprinted it on their website so you can read the whole thing here: http://www.reallybadfanfiction.com/LongStories.html The story is about 5 links down. 0 Share this post Link to post

Linguica Posted March 30, 2004 But it's not fan fiction, it was a commercial venture... 0 Share this post Link to post
Burn-RBF Posted March 30, 2004 Actually I put it up because I thought it was TOTALLY AWESOME and when you look at it yeah its connection to fanfiction is tenous at best but really now that accounts for like 80% of the stuff we have on RBF. PS I found the Doom Comic at this very website! THE CIRCLE IS COMPLETE. PPS I hated Doom and it sucks :( PPPS I Quake supposed to be a sequel series to Doom or something? 3 kept referencing it over and over again 0 Share this post Link to post

Bucket Posted March 31, 2004 I read the first story on that page. You know, the one with Hillary Clinton... I am truly speechless. 0 Share this post Link to post

Draconio Posted April 1, 2004 Maybe not, but from the glance I took over the Really Bad Fan Fiction site, I get the feeling it would probably fit right in there. 0 Share this post Link to post

Hyena Posted April 1, 2004 You clearly do not understand the definition of fanfiction. The Star Wars novels were written by authors contracted by Lucasarts (or whatever it's called now). Fanfiction is written as an amateur activity by a fan of a mainstream fiction (or someone who hates it with vile intensity, as such in the case of my Full House fanfic). And by the way, most Star Wars novels I've read kick ass. Episode I disgraced more than just the original trilogy. 0 Share this post Link to post
Sharessa Posted April 1, 2004 I dunno, I've read some official novels that were just as masturbatory as some fan fics online. 0 Share this post Link to post
deathbringer Posted April 3, 2004 The rouge squadron novels (paticularly the first 4-rouge squadron, wedge's gamble, the krytos trap and the bacta war) rule, if anyone wants a recommendation for star wars novels Hm, maybe i should start working on my "pointless plotless final fantasy porn story with self inserts" especially for that site 0 Share this post Link to post
