Has anyone else noticed that Amazon.com sees to think Doom III will be out June 1st?

I wonder where they get their information. Maybe they know more than the id or Activision people do, heh heh.

Yes I've seen that but they don't stop pushing over the date...I just think this is to justify the pre-orders ;-)

No Doom 3 release date on the web is official until it's announced in a .plan update or a press release by id Software.

Could we have a banner at the top of the Doom 3 general forums stating "THERE IS NO FUCKING OFFICIAL RELEASE DATE PLEASE READ THE FAQ OR SEARCH THE FORUMS BEFORE STARTING ANOTHER STUPID RELEASE DATE THREAD?!"

Well at least until there is one. Then the banner wouldn't make any sense.

We don't like when people start threads over "just saying that [insert site here] has a date on its site", because we've seen too many such threads already and they add zippo of interest, nor insight to this forum.

Well - the bottom line at this point is the .plan update/release date thing.

A previous poster hit the nail on the head - that is exactly what is written in tsh's most recent .plan update (a couple of weeks ago).
