This one level wad is a replacement for Ultimate Doom, e1m4. The intent is to recapture the "shareware Doom feel" without making it feel like just another e1 wad. So the detail level is downplayed a bit while the gameplay is more arcade style. Lastly, the architecture and texture choice is meant to mimic, but not copy, John Romero's classic style.

THe shareware doom feel... yes, episode one was so intense, I just had to buy doom... but, couldn't find it, had to get doom 2.... oh well, thank you Id for releasing the collector's edition.
