Metroid Movie News

Hm, I can't believe no one has mentioned this yet...

John Woo has picked up the rights to this title and is planning on actually making it. 2006 release at the earliest, and a $100 million budget. Umph.

The only John Woo movie I've ever seen was the Hulk movie, and that was a horrible piece of shit.

I saw Face-Off, and it was not.

John Woo had nothing to do with the Hulk; you're probably confusing him with Ang Lee. Anyway, I actually liked that movie :).

Woo's Mission Impossible 2 wasn't bad either (certainly better than M:I1), and I've heard good things of both Paycheck and Windtalkers.

This is probably a bit off topic, but another John Woo movies you might want to pick up is Hardboiled. Yes, Hardboiled is an old movie, and yes, alot of the dialouge is VERY corny, but it has alot of really good action scenes, especially the Teahouse scene.

Heh, a Metroid movie. It's about time. I was beginning to think they'd never do one.

Oh whoops.

Yeah, I saw M:I2 which was mildly entertaining. Definately not my kind of movie though. Action bores the Hell out of me.

Heh, it wasn't just the bad CGI that I didn't like (though that was kinda lame), it was mostly the bad plot and acting, and also crazy stuff. Since when has the Hulk been able to LEAP THE ENTIRE LENGTH OF THE MOJAVE DESERT IN ONE BOUND. Oh well, maybe I just didn't read enough of the comics. Speaking of comics, that comic-panel camera work was more annoying than anything else.

Since forever. I even have a fact sheet in some Marvel comic book somewhere that says he can leap three or four kilometers.

Yes. Or Charlize Theron, maybe?

...Well, that'll depend on whether she does the role of Aeon Flux justice. Which she better, or I'll leave centipede eggs in her fucking tampons.

Okay, sure. Doesn't make the movie any better though.
