How [DO YOU DOWNLOAD SOMETHING]

how do you download the mods and .wads from that thing, I know it's a n00b question but I want to see the Hitler mod for the Cacodemon's >_<

Do you mean http://www.doomworld.com/idgames/ ? If so, click on "indiana" or one of the other download locations on the right side of the screen when you select a wad. Then once you have it downloaded use a program like winzip to extract it. (unless you have xp, then you don't need winzip). Then, if you're using doom95 let's say, click on the custom pwad box and select the wad you unzipped. It has to be in the same folder as doom95.

If you're not using doom95, and lets say you're using a different port like zdoom, you'd type "c:\doom\zdoom.exe -file yourwad.wad" into the "run" box of windows start menu. Replace c:\doom\zdoom.exe with the location of the port you're using.

Boris wasn't being gratuitously sarcastic. If you want your questions answered, you need to word them so it is clear exactly what you need help with (and give the thread a more purposeful title) - and give links if you don't know how to describe it in words.

Fortunately it seems that Epyo's mind-reading was spot-on in this case, but next time you might not be so lucky.
