I'm looking for the most realistic released WAD. Out of curiosity.
Just wishin' to know how far am I from making the "most realistic" one, so I need to know how far got the ones before.

I know it is my own map, but I think that phocas island was quite realistic feeling. (at least to me)

I'd say 'Operation: Arctic Wolf'. Unlike 99% of all the WADs out there this one at least has a feeling of being where you are supposed to be.

Heh, I try to make things look real, but if I had to go with realistic wads that weren't my own, I'd go with Super Sonic Doom Map03, now THAT is realistic.

Batman DooM - city wad with realistic textures and enemies.
Fragport - desert/city/tech wad with strong themes.
Licence to Spell DooM - industrial/tech wad with Quake 2/Half-Life/Sin style ambient sounds.
Daedalus - space/tech wad with strong themes and hub layout.

Word, I don't even have to pimp my own levels this time. =)

Seriously though I'm going to finish the first episode and get rid of the uber-crappy secret level and replace it with something that fans of the original E1 will enjoy, but will still maintain the realistic feeling I've tried to create throughout the rest of the wad.

I just have to finish my Flashback, Freedoom, and Community Chest 2 maps first.
