Is the DOOM 2 GBA graphic engine better than the DOOM 1 GBA one? I thought they were exactly the same but my friend says they aren't.

Yes, the Doom II GBA engine is much much faster than the one for Doom GBA. I too noticed this after I bought Doom 2 GBA.

GBA Doom uses some hacked version of the Jaguar Doom code. GBA Doom 2 uses a new engine written specifically for the GBA and used in other games like GBA Duke Nukem (weird huh).

Its good, if short, damn good.
I mean, its The Duke and its portable, it has jumping, manual aiming etc. and still plays smooth. It is very short though so try to find it cheap. But it IS worth it.
