what do u need 4 lan games

probably a simple question, i use pretty much all ports but mainly edge and zdoom and i wanna know what i need to play zdoom on lan games? do i have to download zdaemon or something like that?

I think all ports are viable solutions for LAN, zDaemon should work but it is more dedicated to internet play.

I personally use original doom2.exe when the wads allow it. Prboom if it's over the VPO limit. Eventually other ports if the wad specifically needs them.

Legacy is very easy to use, the other ports are a tad harder to handle. Is your network working ? I mean can you play other games on LAN ?

If the network administrator is competent, you cant use anything but the Web (http).
So no LAN games can run on correctly administrated networks.

VinceDDS: Hmmm, so thats why I can't use Kazaa either then.

go to network properties
under the general tab look to see if anything says ipx. if not...
click the install button
chose protocal
click add
then choose ipx
then click ok
