Bashe Posted May 31, 2004 Somethings up with the sound in Zdoom. Occasionally, the sound will be all broken up and cackly. Turning the buffering rate up helps, but the problem fixes itself after I restart the computer. I don't know what causes this but it's annoying. 0 Share this post Link to post
Szymanski Posted May 31, 2004 can you list some specifics eg OS, soundcard type etc I had a similar problem with zdoom and nforce2 sound but it turned out that it was using an older driver. 0 Share this post Link to post
Bashe Posted May 31, 2004 Well, it's Windows 98, and I'm using a laptop, so I don't really know the sound card, probably Sound Blaster. 0 Share this post Link to post
Bashe Posted June 2, 2004 I'm using Zdoom V 2.0.63. It seems to only mess up if I listen to Nimrod in the laptop's CD player. It never messes up with ohter Green Day albums, tho. 0 Share this post Link to post
wildweasel Posted June 3, 2004 Does Nimrod happen to have an "Enhanced CD" section on it? That might be one cause. 0 Share this post Link to post
DOOM Anomaly Posted June 4, 2004 I get this error a lot. Zdoom takes a long time to load, then all the sounds are crazy-scratchy and jazz. I usualy just restart and nevermind the issue. :D 0 Share this post Link to post
