Oh No Its Kyle Posted June 8, 2004 My dad has been a truck driver almost all of his life, working as a repo man before that. My mother has been a truck driver for a few years now. So I've seen my share of warehouses. Which brings me to the point. I'm working on a wad right now that has a shipping dock and the problem I'm having is the fact the crates don't sit on pallets. Has anyone done vanilla Doom pallets? And how did you do them? I'm guessing I should just make a 1 pixel sized sector around the big crates and raise everything to the proper alignment so it looks like a pallet but I'm not sure if that looks good or not and I don't want to drasticly edit my level for it. 0 Share this post Link to post
Ichor Posted June 8, 2004 Quake 2 and the mission packs have some decent pallets. There, they are about 8 units high and it extends around 4 units on all sides all around the crate. 0 Share this post Link to post
deathbringer Posted June 10, 2004 It looks quite good if you make a slightly-bigger sector around one crate, make it 8 units tall (and the crate 8 units taller too, so it sits 'on top') and give the palette underneath the 'ladder' texture around the bottom 0 Share this post Link to post
Use Posted June 10, 2004 I've used pallets in many of my maps for the megawad. The method Deathbringer describes works well. 0 Share this post Link to post
