Direct3d is the worst piece of crap ever, it works so god damn slow on my comp anyways...=(

Mmmh, I disagree. OpenGL and D3D are pretty much the same when it comes to programming. It all really depends in your vid card and it's support.

It's not about the API but about the programmer.

Well I haven't done much in MAX lately. The OpenGL stuff is coming along nicely, though - I've found a great deal of info about it, and I'm just fooling around with it in preparation of writing that Carmack Killer in the near future :)

Well, I've got a ATI Rage Turbo card (graphics). It takes an eternity to join a server in Counter Strike for exampel. :/

But when I get myself some SDRAM (probably 128), I'll switch to Software (there's 3 video options in CS) and it'll work as quickly as it can.
