I need vmouse.vxd!

Recommended Posts

No, I did a search and all I got was dmouse.vxd for Doom95 which I don't need. Myk's site doesn't have it. NOTHING HAS IT!!!

Still, who wants to send it to me?

1000 apologies. I need to learn how to read. sorry about that.
from what I see, it is in your win98 cabs... if you have win98/ME.

Well, I got the vmouse.vxd and put it in the right places but the PS2 mouse won't work. I'm pretty the PS2 mouse stopped working because of vmouse.vxd. It's not the mouse, something else is missing...

there used to be a site for dll's and common VXD files like that. however that was 4 years ago, and i forget. check your cabs

I already have the vmouse.vxd. Why else wouldn't my PS2 mouse work? It's plugged in firmly. I put the .vxd in all the right places.

what OS do you have.
NT-architechure doesn't use virtual device drivers, IIRC.
get a ps/2->USB converter perhaps.

Okay, I'm on Windoze 98.

As we speak, I'm on a USB mouse. It WOULD be okay, but I only have one USB port on my laptop so I can't really use anything else besides the mouse. I have a USB-PS2 coverter but it doesn't work either. I'm missing something I think.

remove the device and re-install it.
what does it say in the device manager or the mouse setup?

It says it works properly but it doesn't. In "Driver Details" nothing is wrong or missing.

I tried installing an IBM PS2 mouse on this machine... it didn't respond. I dumped it and got another (serial) mouse.
