Anyway, I got more than enough RAM and only 200 mb under the recommended CPU, so i'm fine since my moniter's so small it'll only run things at 800 x 600...but i'm gonna get me a 9800 pro & doom3 on the same day, hail to the king baby.

That's not a con unless you really need that slot. I only use two PCI slots myself.

Also depends on your case/board and how many slots you have to begin with.
Besides I know someone who used all 6 PCI slots on his machine.
