There's a new Doom3 clip floating around

- When monsters desintegrate, only the biological part will, the mechanical parts stay in place.
- Very very cool warping effects from some weapons
- Stylish dropships
- Looking through glass distorts the view a little
- Environments are breathtaking!
- The attention paid to detail is perfect
- The scripted sequenzes, like it or not - are just cool! Don't know whether I want to play Doom3 or watch Doom3...
- There's a train sequence - don't know whether the light of the train is HDRI, doubt it, but looks close to it!
- Nice small 4 pedal maintainance bots walk around
- Plasmagun looks realistic (weapon model) and the effects are wow
- The beloved fatty can hold a wrench to hit us harder (well not "can" but one variety holds it)
- Lost Souls in motion are anything but edgy headed - forget about the stills
- Hellknight shoots plasma whatever balls at you, just as he should
- The BFG is a monster of a gun (assuming it was the BFG I saw)
- Trites are pretty small
- Everything looks perfect, everything

I just watched it. The arch-vile (or whatever that thing was) looks insane. The plasma rifle is pretty cool. Im not crazy about the new bfg. I dont find it particularly impressive.

Some of those cut scenes were intense.

I'm probably the only one who likes it (kinda like the Doom3 theme song) but I think that keyboard there is kinda neat.



I wonder when it'll be available. (gah! not another release date mystery to solve!) But I wonder why you'd want it to beable to be jointed in two places like that? I mean, do they think someone is gonna play with one end up on a box and the other on the desk? (ok so that wouldn't surprise me if someone did that, seriously)

Is that really any worse than people ripping pictures and videos from the E3 trailers of Doom 3 and putting them up on the internet for download everywhere for everyone to see?

Okay, sweet. Gamespot hasn't taken their link down yet but I managed to save the file. It doesn't really spoil much, it moves wicked fast bnd it just pumps me up even more for the game.

Um, actually only id Software can copyright this stuff, since it's footage of they're game, and apparently they didn't mind. It's on par with porn sites making you pay to download nude scenes from movies, which are for home veiwing purposes only.
