I like how the cacodemon moves. It appears so aggresive with the way it flies after you. Judging it from just images and video is different from judging it when you actually go up against one in the game.

After seeing the video again, I've come to the conclusion that it's pretty damn hard to measure the size, see the exact shape, color and textures of the creature, so I'll start liking or disliking it when I see it ingame.

Don't really care about its size too much, its more mobile now, plus i love its mouth. One killer make over if i do say so myself.

The pinky looks pretty small until you see it side by side with a zombie. I'm sure the caco is bigger than it looked in the vid (although it seemed fine to me--pretty proportional to the old one). It's really grown on me, I think it looks hideiously evil. Altough I see no eye (and after seeing the vid and reading the PC Gamer which is not in my hands, I think some of the people here are on crack due to their conclusions; ie.. 'The caco is black" in the soulcube pic. That's the soulcube coming after the archy... duh), it still looks great, perhaps even better than the original. I am really curious now to see how many monsters we haven't seen. (I promised myself if a caco pic was released, I wouldn't look at it... Damn you Lectrix and your delicious temptations! ; )

Awesome movie. I love that part when you hear the voice saying "They took my babies away", or something similar and the lights fade... great stuff. As for the Caco', I don't think he looks too small attall, I'd say he's about the right size in relation to the original.

The Caco looks fine to me. The only thing that bothered me is that I saw a couple of edges in the model, but like it was with the Lost Soul, that means nothing when it's in motion.

Thanks Rick! To me the caco sorta looks like one of those fugly deep sea creatures you see on the discovery channel. But idunno, I need to see some clearer pics/vids of it.

That picture reminds me a lot of Phantoon from Super Metroid. Anyway, PlanetDoom has a clearer shot in it's enemies section, and (from what I can see) the Cacodemon has (at least) 6 eyes, though they are pretty small. The light in that picture is a lightning-ball forming in it's mouth.

I pretty sure thats a giant eye coz i slowed down my movie to take that shoot, and i swear it blinked and has a pupil inside. But we will see, when the game comes out. But you could be right about the fireball, it was a low quality movie and you can't see much.

I wonder how much damage the Caco will do? In DooM it was pretty high. So with the new version they "slowed" the game down, but if you ask me the Caco is a lot fast the Caco v 1.0 TM. Hmmmm . . .
