Darkhaven Posted July 28, 2004 Would anyone say this is overuse of slopes? I got sorta bored and made a MOHIH map... 0 Share this post Link to post
Volte Posted July 28, 2004 I think it's pretty hard to overuse slopes as far as architecture goes. 0 Share this post Link to post
Ichor Posted July 28, 2004 Cut out or change that top portion above the arch and it should look a lot better. 0 Share this post Link to post
Amaster Posted July 28, 2004 The slopes on either side of that top portion make it look silly and awkward. A normal 90 degree angle would prbably make it look a lot better. 0 Share this post Link to post
Godshatter Posted July 28, 2004 looks fine to me remember, slopes are used a lot in REAL architecture. dont be afraid to use em. 0 Share this post Link to post

Btw, Darkhavenm do you really thnik that OICW suits Medal-of-Honor ? And, no... there are not too many slopes in this picture... 0 Share this post Link to post

duncan Posted July 29, 2004 Nah, I agree with everyone, slope count fine!! Looks quite good actually 0 Share this post Link to post
The Ultimate DooMer Posted July 29, 2004 There's nothing wrong with the number of slopes there. If it makes the architecture look better (which it usually does, including here) then it doesn't matter how many are used. 0 Share this post Link to post

Less than a few months ago I was running a p100 16meg, and slopes didn't slow me down at all. The only thing I had trouble with was things like monsters eating up my cpu. 0 Share this post Link to post
