Chubzdoomer Posted July 29, 2004 Ok, I dont think anyone has posted THIS before, it is the back in the mag, not the review, but the "in-depth tech guide" part. ANyways, they have "LOW-END" "MID-RANGE" and "HIGH-RANGE" system opinions for running DOOM 3, here they are: LOW RANGE CPU: 1.5Ghz P4 or AMD equivalent RAM: 512MB VIDEO CARD: NVIDIA Geforce Ti 4800 or ATI Radeon 9500 MEDIUM RANGE CPU: 2.4Ghz P4 or AMD equivalent RAM: 1 GB VIDEO CARD: NVIDIA Geforce 5950 or ATI Radeon 9800 Pro/XT HIGH RANGE "Robert Duffy didnt offer any current-generation high-end suggestions. Instead, he told us, 'Doom 3 has settings that will make the game look even better on hardware that doesn't exist yet (beyond just upping the resolution, like in most games).' That sounds really cool, and we can't wait to see how the game looks on the hardware of tomorrow. But in case you're wondering what to buy today, heres what we say:" CPU: 3.4Ghz P4 or AMD equivalent RAM: 2 GB VIDEO CARD: NVIDIA Geforce 6800 Ultra or ATI Radeon X800 XT ________________________ So there ya go - I WOULD BE on Medium-Range if my ram wasnt just 768mb and if my processor wasnt just 2 GHZ. Oh well, my PC should run it OK anyways with my 9800 PRO. :) 0 Share this post Link to post
