m0l0t0v Posted July 29, 2004 I was just wondering: how many Doom/ Doom2 wads are there in the archive? is there a way to find out (besides manually counting them)... 0 Share this post Link to post
Grazza Posted July 29, 2004 Grab the fullsort document and analyse that in a spreadsheet program. The numbers in the idgames database currently go up to 12745, but quite a lot of those files are not wads, or not even Doom related. Of course, a lot of wads, especially from the early years, are missing from the archive. Otherwise, an FTP program should be able to provide various statistics about numbers of files and their total size (which is surprisingly small). 0 Share this post Link to post
Opulent Posted July 30, 2004 I get something around 16,112 files (this includes the textfiles). This is quite a rough number... so something around 8,000? of course, those are zips, not maps or even wadfiles... then, as Grazza stated, there are MANY others that were never on the archive. 0 Share this post Link to post
