Ed Lima Interviewed

Recommended Posts

Over at Telefragged.com, Finger has interviewed Ed Lima, freelance composer who is credited with some of the work on the amazing audio soundscape of Doom 3.

Ed Lima: ... I worked as principal sound designer and composer on Doom3. I worked on all of the ingame music, monster sounds, weapons sounds, a large part of machine and background level sounds, and most of the sounds you hear during the demonic influences and scary scenes in the game.

So far I'm not impressed with the sounds in Doom. I guess this is the guy to blame. The weapon sounds are the worst. The monster sounds aren't too bad only because I've never heard a real monster before so my imagination can take over. But the weapons. Just terrible.
