You can't blame him. The letters don't wrap around that corner like you would expect, so I suppose when you have a detailed image in the flashlight it looks kind of fake.

How did you get the game to load your custom tga?

I've been trying to get the game to load a custom cacodemon and imp skin I made, but no luck so far. I added both tga's to a pk4 file and made sure they had the correct path for the cacodemon and imp skin. I named the pk4 file pak005 in sucession with the other pk4 files, which is how pk3 files were loaded in Quake 3 and RTCW, but when I load the game I don't see any indication that the new pk4 file is being loaded at all. Does anyone have any ideas?

In quake III based games it didnt matter what you called your mod, as long as it had the same file extention, and was in teh right directory. Like Q3, does doom3 use a .SHADER file to determine the skins and paths for models?
