Xquze Posted August 7, 2004 Hey guys, playing Doom III makes my computer turn off itself everytime. Don't know how that happens, maybe you guys have an idea? I have: - AMD Duron 2200 mHz - 256MB RAM - Ati Radeon 9600 PRO - Hercules Fortissimo II I haven't overclocked anything and if I check my CPU in Windows, it even saids it's running on 1800 mHz. Help plz! 0 Share this post Link to post
BillBrasky Posted August 7, 2004 You don't have enough RAM installed to run the game. 384 is the minimum requirement, but for practical purposes you'd want at least 512mb. But I'm not sure why that would cause your system to shutdown. In any case you should upgrade your RAM to play this game. 0 Share this post Link to post
Xquze Posted August 7, 2004 Yeah, it should be runner slow or so, not causing my computer to turn off... I'll buy some RAM, but still need an answer. 0 Share this post Link to post
deathbringer Posted August 7, 2004 Zdoom reset my computer once, when i was playing "Hellspawn 13" and went into the sewers with the demons, the zdoom forum people said it was a soundcard issue, so you might want to get your latest soundcard drivers, thats what sorted it for me anyway, though zdoom is a totally different program, they both make sound! 0 Share this post Link to post

Xquze Posted August 13, 2004 I had a trojan horse, deleted it and never had a problem since It wasn't a hardware problem after all! 0 Share this post Link to post
