How to install mods

I extract the paks to the base directory, but the mods dont show up. WHat do I do?

We'll, I finally figured it out! All one needs to do is put the file in the Doom III main directory, where you have the option to click on the base directory. So just install the mods to the first Doom III directory you see, not the optional ones.
