NEED DESPERATE HELP

Heyyy everybody, I need help figuring out a way to open my console without using Ctrl. A few days ago it broke and no way im buying a new keyboard because of Ctrl, Anyways, please help

use a keyboard mapper in windows and bind the 'ctrl' key to something else.

Make a "Autoexec.cfg" in your base directory. Now put in it the following:

com_allowconsole 1

now you can just press ~ for console

Ummmm... goddammit, im slow on these things, can you like give me a step by step guide? lol i dont know how to make The Autoexec.cfg..

Just open a new text file. add the afore mention command close it when it ask you if you want to save say yes then rename it autoexec.cfg put in in your C:\Program Files\Doom 3\base file.
Or you could do all that right from the base file and save a step of two.

Open up notepad, type in "com_allowconsole 1", go to save as, make sure to have "save as all file types" selected so as not to limit it to being a .txt file, and then type in "Autoexec.cfg" for the file name. That's all there is to it.
