Doom 3 Crashes

When I reach the elavator to go down to the sub level beneath mars city the game starts to load and then shuts down and returns me to windows.

My game allso keeps crashing,i cant get to report to the sgt? this is bad news... oh well maybe farcry will have patch 2 out soon.

AMD XP 3200+ BARTON DDR400 CPU,asus motherboard KINGSTON 1GM ..RADEON 9800XT 256. and it still crashes,ive only got it set at med.

if you've overclocked your card or manually set really fast memory timings, try rolling them back a bit to more normal settings.

Doom 3 isn't very friendly to overclocked graphics cards.
