HEY I HAVE A GREAT MOD IDEA

Has anyone thought of this?
A mod where you could play as one of the enimies? Like, play as the cyberdemon, or hellnight?

I was thinking about a gangster mod....and then change all the textures and stuff to grayscale. And with that you can make something stand out. Maybe blood or a person. And the old 1930 style is very cool!

I would like to see a gauntlet mod, I'm already modeling in Blender and working on improving my modeling skills by modeling a nude women, I would post a picture of it but stupid forum rules says I can't.

Oh, and anyone ever play actraiser ? I think those bosses would make a great mod..

On the X rated side, I would like to see those demon chicks from the beginning of the Anime Urotsukidouji.

A mod where you have your own profile and such, like you have to buy your weapons and then you can go online and battle other people, like you could buy camofluage like youd by forest camo for a jungle map. You would lose your weapon when you died like for example. I got 16000$ Ill buy 3 plasma rifles, 5 plasma cells. A chaingun, urban camofluage. A smoke grenade and a railgun. And it would be a profile so you would always have the same amount of cash. there would be the shop and then the server browser. And then secret items like stealth camo were you would be almost invisible but youd be kinda jelly and stuff. when I get a new computer im probably gonna do this mod for doom 3.

Because you'd probably get a nasty letter from Capcom's lawyers.

Nothing to stop someone from creating their own modern day/near future zombie/mutant setting, however. Just don't call it Resident Evil :).

Over on the Zdoom forums me and a couple of guys had this idea to remake Goldeneye 64 for Zdoom. But we decided that some of the levels just couldn't be done quite right so we didnt do it. Somebody else did, but it's still not finished. If somebody did this with Doom 3 it would kick major ass.

I'm suprised none of you guys asked for Gothic99 (or 05+);

All we need is galaxy-class warp cores to run such olympian requirements and we get some crappy DM on par with the regular D3DM maps...

Even though this thread is old, A doom64 mod for doom3 would be kinda cool. It would be like old school doom's action meets Doom3's ambience thus making the doom64 mod for doom3.

Well, you may have to remake the defuse, cause I sort of made the mistake of using a grey scale of the normal for that. Anyways, I impove at making normal and defuse and I use a render of a height map trick in Blender. "A blend of black and white"

Hey tony, I'm using blender too. Are there any useful tutorials for modelling monsters and objects and weapons about? Also can you suggest any decent program for creating skins and textures? I'm pretty new to this.

You can use this program to make monsters
http://www.makehuman.org/

I make textures using gimp http://www.gimp.org/

And normal and height using blender http://www.blender3d.org/cms/Normal_Maps.491.0.html

Using gimp I use the dialog-->layers feature, the texture is then grain merge or multiply onto a height map or you can choose just to use the normal as is over a plain texture, but ID website shows the method they use to make it.

The blender manual shows how to make a sword, look for that.
