cactus Posted August 24, 2004 I use to use a win98 machine for editing doom, but recently I tried to edit on another pc under XP, and surprisingly Wintex (4.3&4.7) refuses to Edit the textures saying: "bad command Pbrush.exe C:/image.bmp" I tried to edit the .CFG but couldn't make it work. 0 Share this post Link to post
netnomad312 Posted August 24, 2004 Are you sure you know where your exe is? It's probably mspaint.exe in your windows folder. There's a version 5.0 of Wintex BTW. 0 Share this post Link to post
cactus Posted August 25, 2004 sorry my fault, I changed the name of the original mspaint.exe so nothing could work :P= a post for nothing Sorry for being such a loser. 0 Share this post Link to post
sargebaldy Posted August 26, 2004 5.0 isn't really better than 4.3 in any way, just adds a little useless bloat as far as i can tell. but yeah, the easy solution is just to change the path in the config, there's an option to directly load it built right in. 0 Share this post Link to post
Darkhaven Posted August 26, 2004 If you still experience problems, you should try some alternate editors, such as WadMaster, DEUTex, NWT, XWE, or DeePSEA. And by the way, if you want a combined map editor and lump editor, you should look at WadMaster and DeePSEA first. XWE has a map editor built in, but it's still sort of buggy, and it doesn't build nodes internally. It's a bit similar to WadAuthor if you ever want to try to figure it out... 0 Share this post Link to post
