MMOFPS - heh

I was talking with my bro and got this idea for Doom3...while guessing what id's next intellectual property might be (though this is really just a reinvention of an existing one). Heh.


Xeocipher III: MMOFPS

Xeocipher III: Lots of Marines and shit stomping around a base....marines, sargeants, corporals, privates....fighting the war on Mars
SaviorMike: They're going to make a cohesive Mars community. A UAC settlement both on earth and Mars. It'll be their mmorpg. And you're all marines in the barracks and...you know where it's going. Like a real community...for the diehards.
SaviorMike: Right.
Xeocipher III: Now that would be something
SaviorMike: They might make it Starcraftish too...in that they have different units available.
SaviorMike: And players can be demons.
SaviorMike: And you each have your own respective areas
Xeocipher III: LOL, demons in Doom have never been known to be the brightest critters
SaviorMike: Hell can cross over if x number of sins happen or if the humans aren't careful with technology
SaviorMike: It'd be neat
SaviorMike: Trite hatcheries
SaviorMike: OMG
Xeocipher III: They hide in monster closets, spawn randomly...

You'd have to have some sort of Evolution system,Otherwise everyone would just set themselves as a Cyberdemon and kill everyone.

this sounds like a great idea, it would probably be really fun playing as a hell knight and walking around, smashing everything, and throwing marines around the place like ragdolls

Indeed. Like in Star Wars Galaxies there's quite a complex path to becoming a Jedi... because otherwise everyone would.
