TawmDee Posted September 4, 2004 I guess it'd have to be Cephalic Carnage - Lucid Interval. Very awesome hybrid of grindcore, jazz, experimental sound effects sometimes. It's fantastic. 0 Share this post Link to post

S1lent Posted September 4, 2004 The "Space Ghost: Coast to Coast" CD..the first one. It was funny, but weird. 0 Share this post Link to post
Ayu Posted September 7, 2004 Hell if I remember the name of it, I got rid of it along time ago, I always heard parts where I swore I heard someone talking funny in the background, found out from a friend, whoever made the CD was putting in messages that we're really satanic. Good music till I found that out though. 0 Share this post Link to post
spank Posted September 7, 2004 Mike Patton is a genius. I recommend you listen to Fantômas. 0 Share this post Link to post
Melfice Posted September 7, 2004 Would have to be Missy Elliot's "Misdemeanor" cd. Just because it's so out of character. 0 Share this post Link to post
Knight of Ravens Posted September 7, 2004 For me, it'd have to be a 'best of' Sarah Brightman collection, just because it's so out of place rubbing shoulders with goth and metal CDs and anime soundtracks on my shelf. 0 Share this post Link to post

SYS Posted September 8, 2004 The Pleasure Fuckers - For your pleasure. Have songs with title's like Sexy French Motherfucker. Sing about weird adult themes. Have a very fucked up sound to it. I bought it because it said The Pleasure Fuckers. So I figure, wtf, why not. Mr.Bungle, I have quite a few of their albums. Some of them are no longer in print so I downloaded them off their website which no longer exists, as does the band. From Raging Wrath of the Easter Bunny, to OU818, all way to their album last known to me "California" they are really tripped out. 0 Share this post Link to post
Sharessa Posted September 8, 2004 I think the weirdest thign I bought was In-A-Godda-Da-Vida by Iron Butterfly. I couldn'tget the fuckign song out of my head so just decided to buy the album. It wasn't that bad really, though it was VERY hippyish. There's one song called Flowers and Beads and another about the dude tripping out on acid and he sees this beautiful image on the wall that he wants to paint so it can be preserved forever but h's too fucked up to move. I also bought the soundtrack to The Crow for some godforsaken reason. I guess thats back when I was a huge NIN fan and absolutely had to own everything with anything he ever did. Christ, I didn't even like the NIN song on that CD that much. The RATM song was better. Szymanski said:Sting - soul cages Hey, thats a good album. Jello Posted September 9, 2004 That would have to be Octis. An incredibly weird...concept cd I guess. It was two discs, and each disc looked like )( except ya know, they were curved on top and bottom...not sure how to make an accurate representation though. Basically the sides of it had larg half circles cut out...still played in regular cd players though, just not front loading ones, like in a car. The music itself wasn't really music. It was basically strange spastic noises for about 15 seconds on each track, there's something like 60 tracks on the discs. It's very odd, and eventually becomes sort of hipnotic...I've tried to find some information on it, but all I've come up with is the site for the guy who designed the cds themselves. It's...odd. Oh yeah, I also found the record Loudness: Thunder in the East at a local second hand shop. It was only a dollar, so I had to buy it. Probably the best Japanese hair metal band ever. If you haven't heard Rock and Roll Crazy Nights, you haven't lived. 0 Share this post Link to post

Sharessa Posted September 10, 2004 Yeah, the Cure song is okay. One of the only Cure songs I like. But that stupid Dead Souls song was only on that CD, so I had no alternative. I also have fun trying to figure out whatmovie that sample at the end of the Pantera song is from. Whenever I see the movie I'm like "ahh, THIS is the movie!" and by a month I've completely forgotten it again. Heh. 0 Share this post Link to post

I remember the first tiem I heard Skinny Puppy. I was 17 by then though. Considering the most innovative and dark stuff I heard at that time was NIN and Manson, they completely blew me away. 0 Share this post Link to post

Little Faith Posted September 14, 2004 Nathaniel Merriweather(Dan the Automator) - Music to Make Love to your Old Lady By. Odd lounge tracks with strange and darkly humoristic themes (and Mike Patton on vocals). 0 Share this post Link to post
pritch Posted September 14, 2004 Ian McShane - From Both Sides Now. It was just 99p for the CD album. It's the strangest not because of the content (just Ian singing covers of famous tracks) but because I never normally buy anything like that. 0 Share this post Link to post
Disorder Posted September 14, 2004 Foehn - Hidden cinema soundtrack Beatiful, surreal, dark ambient, weird, bizar, experimental, plain fucking lovely. 0 Share this post Link to post
doom2day Posted September 14, 2004 If anyone offers you free porn music cd's, dont buy it. I have this weird clear cd, it is all scratched up, i wonder what it is for . . . My sister has a cd and one of the songs when it starts, all we can think of is the toilet. THAT is weird. 0 Share this post Link to post
