harry-o Posted September 9, 2004 I'm running Doom III on a Pentium 4 2.8Gb sys w/ 1Gb RAM, ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 256Mb card, latest ATI drivers. How do I find out what my fps is? Current setting is High>1024X768 0 Share this post Link to post
Amaster Posted September 9, 2004 Open the console by pressing ctrl+alt+~ and then enter "seta com_showfps 1". Change the 1 to a 0 to undo the setting. 0 Share this post Link to post
harry-o Posted September 9, 2004 OK I checked. Fps = 35. Is that good enough, or should I tweak? So far, game runs fine. I'd like to raise the resolution a notch but it's gonna run like crap. 0 Share this post Link to post
Amaster Posted September 9, 2004 If you're happy with the way it runs, then there's not much reason to fuss about tweaking. But if you want to increase your resolution, the first thing you'll want to do is disable Antialiasing and Anisotropic Filtering, if they arent disabled already. Of course, deactivating those will reduce the visual qulity of the game. You can also look around the technical forum here for tweaks that others have come up with. 0 Share this post Link to post
