Why not adding more stuff in original levels?

Recommended Posts

Well, the fact is:

The first levels are scary because the monsters dont spawn everytime, they appear in cool ways like crawling, breaking floor and so.

But later levels, they only spawn. The game becomes boring if you play long.

So, why not to revamp later levels adding monsters, events to make the game scarier? I want to see more Pinky's, more zombies with lantern, more monsters appear from ceilins and so, and not "spawn an Imp in front of me".

If you did get more of those things, they'd lose their appeal. because it would be "oh look another imp crawling along the wall".

yeah, but its more scary and fun than only "spawn again"...

maybe breaking some glasses, breakin the floor, smashing stuff, appear very fast and then dissapear, blood dipping, more guns shot, more marine dying...

the game become plain in the middle...

but then, should be better making new maps, but the original one are ok, need more monsters, but are very good.

Sorta fits with the story though, because in the early game, the demons are hunting around looking for anyone to kill... and later, bertruger is sending them directly to try and kill you.

hmm. Never really thought about that before, but it DOES make sense!

Think about this for a second: All the people who went to hell, and actually came back, were changed. Some went insane and started seeing things. When the doomguy comes back from hell, he sees hellish things all over the place and the environment behaves odder than before. For instance, the part in "Central Processing" where the walls and floor is ripped out and behind it is hell. The only thing left being a couple of hovoring tiles. When the doomguy is found, he's back in delta labs.
