wildweasel Posted September 22, 2004 These could come in very handy. I've been meaning to learn to draw women for some time, and this is the best source I can get thus far. 0 Share this post Link to post
Nmn Posted September 22, 2004 Loomis's Books! You bet this comes handy. The best IMO. 0 Share this post Link to post
Lvangundy Posted September 24, 2004 Hey! Chick #674 http://ohnonono That's the same girl that was in that photoshop that went around the net a couple years ago called "allfaces.jpg" or something. It had like 4 different girls, and they were all different races. The morph technique changed each girl into each other race. SeeE!!! Found it! http://mitglied.lycos.de/mousnonya/allfaces.jpg 0 Share this post Link to post
Coopersville Posted September 25, 2004 I have a few books on dynamic anatomy and dynamic poses; I like those better. 0 Share this post Link to post
BlueSonnet Posted September 26, 2004 This thread isn't getting too extreme on nudity but just a friendly reminder in case you start getting carried away.No images that you would not want your grandmother to see. This includes pornography, "tasteful nudity," images of ultraviolence, seizure-inducing animated GIFs, etc etc. Lvangundy: Yeah i've had to take away that link (for now), just be on the safe side. Otherwise Burne Hogarth's work on dynamic anatomy is where its at. 0 Share this post Link to post
kristus Posted September 26, 2004 Personally I don't think you can learn that stuff correctly from a book. you need to get your ass to an artschool or some evening live drawing classes. 0 Share this post Link to post

BAN! :-Pkristus said:Personally I don't think you can learn that stuff correctly from a book. you need to get your ass to an artschool or some evening live drawing classes. Maybe, maybe not. You can teach yourself a lot by just trying to look at pictures and attempt to "copy" them - that's how I learned to draw. 0 Share this post Link to post
Nmn Posted September 26, 2004 I always tought my old drawings were good, but once I've seen my improvement I know how flat they are. IMO, the point is to construct 3d objects on a flat surface, like a human's head is not an oval, but a 3d shape of a flattened sphere and a chin-shape (like half of a cylinder with the bottom sloped). Loomis' books tought me a lot and they still do. The man is a genius. 0 Share this post Link to post

It's a good place to start methinks. Otherwise as they tell as in art college; we advance more through questioning than through answers, so to speak. 0 Share this post Link to post
