Most FPS you have gotten on the highest settings

Whats the most frames per second you have had playing doom3 on its highest settings. list your computer specs too!

In the demo: 15fps in the menu. Craps out a bit more than halfway through loading (some specular map corrupted, i think).

It means that it is limited. The "cap" would be the maximum limit. So if something's "capped" than it is at the maximum limit of whatever. In this case, the FPS you can get.

I run it virtually maxed out: Ultra quality, 1280x1024, 2xAA, 8xAF, Vsync ON... bumpmapping, adv.effects etc all ON.

On the following system:-

AMD Athlon XP 3000+ @ 2.17ghz/334mhz FSB
Asus A7N8X Deluxe
1gb PC3200 DDR
XFX GeForce 6800 GT (OC'd @ 401mhz/1.06ghz)


With the Timedemo (Demo1) I get around 33 fps, in-game I get anything between 30 fps and 60 fps, obviously being at it's lowest during heavy combat with lots of lighting going on.

I know your pain. I beaten the game with about 10-2 fps. I try playing it again but it laggs to much.

I havent timedemoed yet, but i get perfect 60+ at all times on 1024x768 at maximum settings

its all about your processor and RAM, teh videocard isnt as important

Oops I forgot to mention that i never turn anti-aliasing on, whihc might explain my excellent framerates

I play Doom3 at around an average of 50fps, 39.8 in the timedemo. High Quality, all settings on, no AA, 8 x AF.
Turning on AA at all halves my FPS, but 16fps isnt bad on my system for 6 x AA and 16 x AF
