geX Posted November 4, 2004 Me and a guy called Rgun is trying to come up with some new mod for doom3 that has never been seen before! the story is put in a medieval town. If you want to read more and see some screens here are some links: http://fpscentral.ampednews.com/?game=9&site=news&id=7807 http://mods.moddb.com/3906/ http://www.wadsinprogress.info/?a=listwads&wad=375 EDIT: We are in desperate need of a modeller, so if you know a thing or two about modelling and want to help! please say so 0 Share this post Link to post
Job Posted November 4, 2004 Wow, those are some really well-done atmospheric screens you have there. Judging from that, I think Doom 3 could easily one up that old Q1 level, From Hell. 0 Share this post Link to post
dsm Posted November 4, 2004 Cool stuff. I'm eagerly anticipating where you'll take this mod. 0 Share this post Link to post
toxicfluff Posted November 4, 2004 Looks good - a bit Thief 3-ish, almost. 0 Share this post Link to post

kristus Posted November 5, 2004 In those shots of the town. The housed with white fasade and wood details. You should use textures to do that, it's if you ask me wasted detail to build it with brushes. Especially in doom3. You could use that detail to make much more valuable additions. Looks intresting though. 0 Share this post Link to post
geX Posted November 5, 2004 I think when you do that in this kind of a map it would look to low detailed. becouse you can't get textures that would look so good. And also you can do what ever you want when you use brushes, you don't have to make some special texture for it but we have found better textures than on these shots :) 0 Share this post Link to post
insertwackynamehere Posted November 5, 2004 I wasn't a huge fan of the original Quake. But this still looks awesome :D 0 Share this post Link to post

Disorder Posted November 8, 2004 Finally something original. I've been waiting to see what people would do with this engine, and this is one of those interesting things. Looks a little like the Alone in the Dark games. 0 Share this post Link to post

dsm Posted December 21, 2004 I might still get it, though at present I've lost a great deal of interest in it. I was looking forward to a really atmospheric mod that had the best elements of Doom 3 in it. Oh well, I'll wait and see how it turns out. 0 Share this post Link to post
