wildseed Posted November 9, 2004 Dudes! Finally my era of the Labs is nearly ended. Two monsters to go to Hell. Though they are big and tough looking ones but don't worry, I got the rocket launcher and full of ammos. But I'm a little nervous about Hell. That place seems to be totally different from Mars base. Any advice? :) 0 Share this post Link to post
dsm Posted November 9, 2004 If the game is very dark, turn up the brightness and generally, get used to the darkness, 'cause there's no flashlight in Hell. 0 Share this post Link to post
Squall Posted November 9, 2004 The one certain thing that is missing from this level is...more monsters. I mean it's hell shouldn't it make sense that it should be very populate. Thats what I was expecting. 0 Share this post Link to post
Amaster Posted November 9, 2004 Hell is also one of the most GPU (?) intensive parts of the game. Having whores of monsters would have made it unplayable for low-medium spec PCs. 0 Share this post Link to post

They're all loose in the base on Mars :-P Or it's a less populated part of Hell - like Earth, there might be areas in Hell that are a little more desolate than others. 0 Share this post Link to post
DoomDan Posted November 9, 2004 Hell is Awesome. Best Part of the game. 0 Share this post Link to post

Jello Posted November 11, 2004 Hell was alright, at least it was a change. It was still rather irritating, basically the same as the other levels, just redder, and more jumping was involved. I thought the areas where the evil was changing the base were alot creepier than hell was. Plus not having a flashlight got really irritating at parts. Yeah Wyoming sucks. Absolutely nothing there...except some oil...and yellowstone. Still, nice place to go if you don't want to see another human being for a few hours. And yes...I live in South Dakota...so I know what I'm talking about...and have no room to talk. 0 Share this post Link to post

I'd like Doom 3 to be more like the ol' Doom, where in ep3 you explore different parts of hell like you do in the mars base and that would make the Doom 3 replay value increase a little, because the game is much longer. But what can you do? 0 Share this post Link to post
