How do you split up one file into multiple .rars?

Trying to backup some of my stuff into my gmail account and the upload limit is 10 megs.

Any ideas?

When you are first making your RAR file, look at the "Split to volumes/bytes" drop box at the bottom (assuming you are using WinRAR and not another program). Type in 10,000,000 (roughly) as the size in bytes for each volume, and it'll handle the rest.

10MiB = 10485760 bytes

It couldn't hurt to make the number slightly lower - GMail might not accept the file after encoding it as an attachment (I don't know if they do this or not, I know Yahoo does and it increases the file's size).

No, thats 10 Mebibytes. 10 megabytes is 10000000 bytes.

I'm an idiot, but I once downloaded a program simply called "filesplitter" and I remember it working well, but don't know if you would benefit from it. Please note the starting clarification of my last run-on-sentence.
