Usurper Posted January 6, 2005 I'm looking for Tarin's p2t utility, however neither http://www.doomhq.com/tarin/ nor http://www.paci-fist.net/doom work anymore. I've tried looking for it in the /idgames archive, but if it's there then I can't find it. Anyone know where I could download it? Failing that, is there another utility capable of mass patch to texture coversion? I have all the patches I want loaded into a wad file, however creating and defining a texture for each one would be very tedious. 0 Share this post Link to post
boris Posted January 7, 2005 Aaahh, the good old days. I couldn't find the zip on my hard disk, so I had to repack it, but I don't seem to have the readme anymore. Anyway, you can download it here for now: http://paci-fist.org/~boris/exwads/p2t.zip How to use: P2T wadfile {-iwad mainwad} Examples: P2T mywad.wad P2T mywad.wad -iwad doom.wad 0 Share this post Link to post

Open the PWAD you have 2. Press F7 and select AUTO Textures from graphics. This uses the lumps in the pwad you have directly. However, the names CAN NOT already be used as a texture name or a pnames name. The current project determines this (IOW, the IWAD file - DOOM game- for your project defines this). If you have names that duplicate existing names, use Method 2 1. First press F7 and select Export 2. Then click External files 3. Change the selection to just Graphics 4. Click select All 5. Click BMP. This exports each to a unique directory as a BMP. Now exit and select AUTO Textures from BMPs. 1. Click Add files and select ALL the BMPs in the directory where you saved the BMPs above. Do this by using the Windows multi-select feature: either press shift+cursor keys (fastest) or ctrl+left mouse click if you want to skip some. 2. Save to any file new or existing. This will create a new texture and PNAMES entry for every BMP found regardless if it duplicates an existing name. sbsoftware.com 0 Share this post Link to post
