I'm building a MAME cabinet, I've put up some pictures of the empty cabinet here.

Here's the image of the control panel, there are three buttons per player, I want to know what colours they should be.

Cool, make sure to throw on an Adolf Hitler portrait too!

And a picture of me wiping my ass with the Canadian flag.

RGB. Though if I were building that cabinet, I'd add a fourth button and make that one yellow (Neo Geo style).

From looking at those pictures, it doesn't look like you have much room to be having a MAME cabinet.

Meh, I voted RGB. It doesn't really matter

I wish I had a MAME cabinet. :(

You have the opportunity to choose your own colors and all you can think of is primary colors (whether light or pigment) and flag colors? You should be ashamed. How about a scheme like rust, dark putrid green, dark blood red?

you should get three more for each player before you start thinking about what color they should be

just how do you expect to play street fighter with three buttons

How about making it so like holding back can be another button, like button 3 acts like button 1 when you hold back.

Or, just get 6 buttons, the logical way.

if you read the page you would know that mewse is debating how to cut three extra holes for each player with a dremel or something

He might try drilling pilot holes, and then using a 1/2 inch or whatever size the buttons are drill bit and just drilling out the holes.

With a six button layout, you usually have each column of two buttons be a color, so there's still a three color scheme.

Red-white-red. Because it's the ultimate classic. 80% of all arcades I've played had the RWR setup, so you've gotta pay homage.

Can you make them transparent and fit coloured LEDs behind them? Then you could make them flash in sequence like a fruit machine..

Use the 4th hole to emulate the Neo Geo setup... only with the fist button offset up insted of down.

Then from left to Right... Red, Yellow, Green, Blue

You added tacky vegas lights to choices, but nothing like my scheme? Why don't you just go off and play in sappy pastel fluffy cloud land?

Anything but RGB. That looks like ass. RWR looks cool and retro though.

Also, where the heck would you get arcade buttons from?

You buy them from an arcade button manufacturer of course.
