Hey Jdoom had these high resolution doom textures replacing to old ones, does nayone know the progress on that?

That depends what you want.

If you don't use JDoom they aren't of much use.
And if you associate Doom so much with its original textures they are of even less use, no matter whether you use a port that supports them or not.

I couldn't imagine playing Doom with them.

I think you missed the fact that these are
hi-res versions of the original doom textures, and nice ones at that.

I didn't miss anything. To me they look completely different and I don't like them replacing the originals I have played with for 11 years.

To me Doom with these textures is no longer Doom.

The doomsday forums on newdoom are horrible, the only link to jfiles (which hosts all the offical addons is in chilvinces sig.
how long has jfiles been around for now? (7-9 months or so).
and the readme first thread is out of date.

I got a magazine CD that had the hi-res textures and MD2's on it, doom was lame with them

Dont complain because you got banned for being an idiot. Calling an entire dedicated, official forum to your favourite port horrible because its links are out of date suggest an ulterior reason, being banned perhaps.

There are ways to get around being banned Iori...

I wasn't saying that because I was banned.
even before I was banned it wasn't that great.
Before jFiles I was the only site that linked to all the main packs. And I found it very hard to get a link to it stickied, not saying this because it was my site but because It was for the new people hence the name of the thread " jDooM/Heretic/Hexen QuickLinks 4 Newbies".
