Yes I am going to use some doom3 textures and every hires texture that I can find and like for the Hell level.

Doom3 textures are a lot of work with photoshop.
First the local texture, convert it to greyscale, invert and rerender with parallel lightning with a depth ( white is higher) of 3, overlay the colour texture and merge layers. Than you have a nice texture ( also can use the bmp texture for shining ).

Simply stunning work sitters! Seriously, looking at those shots I can't believe it's the Doom engine underneath it all.

I am sooo glad we are finally starting to see Doomsday's features put to proper use in PWADs.

Looking great as usual Sitters. You keep really pushing jDooms limits, and I love that. Heh, I think you're the only person on WIP to have numerous wads in my favorites list.



Also of note on your website the links to the pictures are wrong.

They should be pointing to

"screenshots/Hell1.png"
"screenshots/Hell2.png"
"screenshots/Hell3.png"

not

"\screenshots\Hell1.png"
"\screenshots\Hell2.png"
"\screenshots\Hell3.png"

The slash at the beginning is redundant, and it's supposed to be a forward slash, not a backward slash.

So the final link should be

"http://www.sitters-electronics.nl/screenshots/Hell1.png"

instead of

"http://www.sitters-electronics.nl/\screenshots\Hell1.png"


Just letting you know, because it breaks in Mozilla based browsers.

Thanks to everybody for the commend, I appreciate it.

I have change the links on my website, it must work now ok for Mozilla based browsers.

Now I am trying to make a storyline for the hell level, and I appreciate it, when people can give me some serious input, I am not a story writer, but a graphic freak. The only thing I now about hell is, that earth sometimes looks like it.

Sitters, are we gonna have any outside hell parts in this? Like in the void, or the beginning of doom 3 hell?

Yes I make a outside part of hell, but my skybox is also a inside looking ( the windows in the screenshots ).

Oh my Goodness..

The various rock models really give this map an unbelievable feeling. If someone told me this wasn't for Doom2.. I would agree.

That looks very impressive, where do you get your inspiration from.
It almost looks like something out of doom3, nice work man keep it up.

I'd really like this to be the map where you add some tricks and traps, maybe some environment that morphs or changes like it (apparently) does in Doom 3, so you can use JDoom to its full potential.
